**Question 3:**

A quadrilateral is drawn on a piece of paper. It has one pair of opposite sides equal in length, the other pair not equal in length, and a pair of opposite angles that are supplementary^{1}. **Identify this figure, and justify your answer with reasons**.

‘All parallelograms are squares?’ Do you agree with this statement?

Justify your answer with example/s.

ReplyDeleteThe parallelogram has 1 pair of parallel lines, and it's opposite sides and angles are equal.A square can fit into these characteristics.

However, a square has 2 pairs of parallel lines, and all its sides and angles are equal and a parallelogram does not necessarily have all these characteristics, and hence not all parallelograms are squares.
